Barbara had a follow-up appointment with the surgeon this week where we received the news that he considers the cancer to be "curable"! In a few weeks she will follow up with an oncologist to determine an appropriate treatment plan.
The road to recovery has been challenging, She is struggling with fatigue and low appetite. In spite of this, she is a model patient, faithfully practicing her PT exercises and walking at regular intervals. The incision healing has been a bit problematic, and she now has home health nurses coming in to help with wound care. Her hairdresser came to the house this week to give her a haircut which was a great boost for morale!
Your cards, emails and prayers are greatly appreciated! She is thankful for her loving village of friends that have reached out to offer support and encouragement.

ReplyDeleteI echo Margie's comment. Praise to the Lord our God, our Healer and Defender in all things. Thank you Lord to oncologists who meet us in our time of need and have the expertise to help. Thank you for Bob her husband and daily care taker.
